RCA Brand Will Go to Work With Kerbango
Thomson Multimedia will distribute an RCA-brand Internet radio that will use the Kerbango Internet radio tuning service.
Thomson is one of the largest manufacturers of home audio products. The company markets its products under the RCA and Thomson brand names.
The AM/FM/IM (Internet Modulation) radio connects through an Ethernet connection, allowing listeners access to thousands of channels.
Following the close of its acquisition of Kerbango, new owner 3Com intends to follow a similar licensing strategy to form alliances with industry partners to expand distribution of Kerbango products.
