Public Engineers to Meet in Dallas
The new Association of Public Radio Engineers and NPR are producing a technical seminar in Dallas to coincide with the NAB Radio Show. Harris is the sponsor.
There's too much going on in the public radio engineering world to wait until April for updates on HD Radio, ContentDepot and NPR Labs projects, according to sponsors.
The APRE/NPR Engineering Symposium is Tuesday, Sept. 19, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Obelisk B meeting room at the Hilton Anatole Hotel in Dallas. Session topics include measuring and interpreting the HD Radio RF mask, mitigating spectral re-growth and spurious emissions, PAD/PSD standards development, digital radio coverage assessment and the FM modulator initiative.
This event is free, but organizers ask attendees to register by e-mailing bgreen@npr.org. Check the APRE section of the NPR Labs
Web site for updated program information.
