Project Engineer - NBCUniversal

NBC Universal has an opening for a Project Engineer to support the Production Systems Engineering Group in meeting their objectives in long and short term projects as well as providing overall technical support for NBC Studio and Control room systems. This position supports all studio and control room engineering projects at NBC Universal’s 30 Rockefeller Plaza Production Facility, and will be assigned to engineering projects to support the ongoing studio television operations. This includes system pre-planning, specifications, detailed system level design and extensive interaction with broadcast operations and productions departments.
The successful candidate will have a minimum 4-6 years design experience with HD television and production facilities, and a BSEE or equivalent professional experience. The candidate must also possess a thorough understanding of all SMPTE and AES industry standards with regards to the HD signal and associated audio parameters, experience designing and managing computer and computer / data networks, and knowledge and experience working with SNMP monitoring systems, software application deployment, IP addressing (subnets, private networks, etc.) and server installation and maintenance for broadcast equipment.
