Practel Joins Ross Video's openGear
Ross Video of Iroqouis, Ontario, Canada, has added Practel to its group of openGear partners.

Practel, a producer of professional broadcast and surveillance equipment, joins Cobalt Digital, Ward-Beck, Claratech, Broadcast and Multimedia Ltd., Telecast and Wohler Technologies in adapting its modular products to the openGear platform.

openGear is based on an open architecture, 2 RU modular frame, designed to accommodate up to 10 cards. A variety of cards are available from terminal equipment vendors supporting the openGear platform allowing facilities the freedom and flexibility to choose which technology best suits their applications. openGear also provides the platform with a Web-based control system that allows monitoring and control of frames and modules on the network.
