Omneon to Host Storage Webcast During DigitalVision 2010
Omneon, the Sunnyvale, Calif.-based provider of video server and storage systems, has announced that Geoff Stedman, the company’s senior vice president of marketing and business development, will present a Webcast on storage as part of the Jan. 20 DigitalVision2010 virtual trade show.

Stedman’s presentation—“Why Media Storage Is Different: What to Consider When Purchasing a Storage System”—will address the differences in media storage and that used for general purpose IT. He will also explore the demands placed on storage systems by file-based workflows and will outline key requirements for storage systems to aid prospective adopters in selecting what is best for their individualized applications.

The Omneon Webcast will take place at 5 p.m. EST. DigitalVision2010 is a one-day event which features several broadcast television equipment manufacturer’s key players. As part of its participation in the virtual trade show, Omneon representatives will be available on-line to provide information to booth visitors and will provide attendees with a chance to win an Omneon tee-shirt by filling in an on-line survey form.
