NPR’s ‘Toast of the Nation’ Featured Neural-THX Surround
NPR’s New Year’s Eve program “Toast of the Nation” was broadcast in 5.1 Neural-THX Surround.

The annual nine-hour New Year’s Eve music special is produced by NPR Music and WBGO(FM) in Newark, N.J.

NPR member stations offered the program on their broadcast stations as well as on their Web sites as live streaming audio. The program also aired on www.NPR.org.

Neural-THX says its surround sound technology is found in more than 70 percent of new AV receivers from companies such as Sony, Yamaha, Pioneer, Onkyo, Denon, Marantz, Integra, Inkel and Sherwood. Neural-THX Surround is also broadcast on XM Satellite Radio and the Classical Public Radio Network.
