NHK's Nishiyama to Keynote Engineering Conference
Hirokazu Nishiyama, managing director of Japanese public broadcaster NHK, will give the keynote address to the Broadcast Engineering Conference at NAB2007.

NAB says he plans to discuss new broadcast services such as mobile, HDTV, IPTV and VOD; the opportunities they create for broadcasters; and the various applications of Ultra-HDTV, which offers 16 times the resolution of current HDTV.

Nishiyama served as director-general of NHK's engineering administration department in 2004, and was appointed managing director in 2005.
