New BE Messagecasting Feature Offers NTR Opportunities
Broadcast Electronics is introducing a new Revenue Center feature for its Messagecasting Platform at NAB2007.

Revenue Center includes management tools for selling a flight of message impressions not associated with audio content over the air, or for selling on-air support text such as advertiser phone number, coupon code or Web address.

The new feature is an option for The Radio Experience, BE's Messagecasting platform for generating and scheduling HD Radio and RDS messages. BE says message impressions can be scheduled by Revenue Center to interleave with “now playing” song information, or as standalone messages through The Radio Experience.

The Radio Experience platform features message tools and online access to song title and artist text “laundering” by the TRE data center. As an option, Revenue Center offers additional tools for managing message inventory, scheduling messages by daypart and auditing impressions for traffic and billing purposes.

Revenue Center is one of several new BE Messagecasting products, including the TRE Producer module for interleaving network-originated text with local program text and the BE RT+ Injector RDS unit capable of inserting Radio Text Plus (RT+) into the data stream.
