Neural Audio Marks 5 Million Low-Bit Rate Hours
Neural Audio Corporation says it’s reached a milestone for live digital broadcasting with over five million “on air” hours for its digital audio codec conditioning technology for low bandwidth broadcasting. The combined hours were broadcast with Neural Audio's digital codec conditioning technology installed at XM Satellite Radio, commercial stations and non-commercial stations.
“Our five year head start of handling low bandwidth constraints has given us tremendous ‘real world’ insights into audio codec efficiency,” said Mark Seigle, Neural Audio president, who added the experience is valuable as more broadcasters begin to multicast their digital signals.
