NEP Upgrades to Chyron HyperX2

NEP Broadcasting has installed 11 Chyron HD/SD-switchable HyperX2 systems for use in the delivery of sports production and entertainment shows.

The HyperX2 features seamless creation-to-playout capability, real-time 2D/3D animation, as well as hardware and software features, including 2D and 3D object import, advanced text and image effects, intelligent interface and DB link update, and macro creation/execution.

The company said HyperX2 systems with Lyric PRO advanced creation and play-out will enable many of NEP’s remote television broadcast facilities to simultaneously manipulate dozens of 3D layers of text, logos, textures and movie objects, all in real time.

“HyperX2’s ability to provide multiple 3D layers is what our clients are demanding, and from an ownership perspective the ability to switch between SD and HD is a strong plus,” said George Hoover, chief technology officer at NEP Broadcasting.” HyperX2 fits the bill perfectly in both regards and gives us a standard platform across multiple clients.”
