NAB Has Drunk-Driving PSAs for Stations
NAB is distributing more than 90 drunk-driving prevention PSAs with the landmark tagline, “Friends Don’t Let Friends Drive Drunk,” to radio stations. The campaign is a collaborative effort among NAB, RADD and the Ad Council, and is intended to reach the audience of 21- to 34-year-olds, who represent more than half of all alcohol-related fatalities.

The PSAs feature celebrity entertainers including Gwen Stefani, Jeff Foxworthy and John Mayer. CDs are available in English and Spanish, and will be mailed to stations later this month. PSAs can be downloaded as 320 kbps MP3s from the NAB Web site.

“Radio stations are uniquely positioned to provide this information to the 233 million Americans who tune in to local radio weekly,” said NAB President and CEO David K. Rehr.
