NAB2006: 53-Foot HD Expandable Production Unit Coming
National Mobile Television's (NMT) new HD-11 Production Truck coming to NAB2006 next month will be partly equipped with technology from Ross Video for replay source distribution, transmission paths, program distribution, signal flow, and utility AES (advanced encryption standard) distribution.

NMT, headquartered in Los Angeles, said the truck is designed to set up quickly, giving it set up/break-down capabilities for single-day events. The frame units from Ross Video, based in Iroquois, Ontario, are housed in 1 RU and 2 RU rack-mounted frames, and are service-flexible for digital and analog configurations. Its frames support video and audio modules, have integrated cooling and universal power supplies, and offer redundant power for 24/7 operations, when required.

Ross Video also said it will be launching its new "openGear" system at NAB (Booth SU1356), which it describes as a "new concept in broadcast terminal equipment."
