MRC Shows Advanced Features
Microwave Radio Communications (MRC) exhibited several new products at IBC, including the DXR5000, the DRS4000 and the OB5000.

The DXR5000 is a digital fixed-link microwave radio which can be ordered for operation at frequencies between 2 GHz and 15 GHz. It features multiple ASI and G.703 interfaces, and can multiplex up to four sources.

The DRS4000 is an SD/HD diversity receiver that was designed for single or multiple site architectures to support ENG or OB operations. It uses multiple receive antennas to minimize multipath fading problems.

The OB5000 is a portable digital microwave radio that combines the attributes of a software-defined radio with traditional split-box architecture. The unit is compatible with existing MRC RF heads and is available with an optional MPEG encoder.
