Mobile Television Debuts GV Kayenne
The Mobile Television Group, which is based in Denver, has deployed Grass Valley’s new Kayenne multiformat video switcher in its first live on-air sports production application.
The mobile production used the Kayenne on July 20 in connection with high-definition coverage of a major league baseball game between the Arizona Diamondbacks and the Colorado Rockies.
“We started with Grass Valley 300 switchers, then 3000s, 4000s, Kalypso and Kayak systems, so we’re excited to be part of the launch of the Kayenne,” said Philip Garvin, owner/manager of Mobile TV Group. “Based on our past experience with Grass Valley products, this switcher will provide our clients with an even higher level of performance. We have always relied on Grass Valley production switchers for our mobile trucks because they perform better than any other switcher on the market and our operators are very familiar with how they work.”
The new Mobile Television Group production truck was built by Denver-based Colorado Studios and is also equipped with 10 Grass Valley LDK 8000 Elite HD cameras.
