MLB Connects with Ross OverDrive
Major League Baseball Advanced Media has invested in
Ross Video's OverDrive Production Control System, Synergy 4SD and Synergy 100SD Digital Production Switchers. MLB is reconfiguring its three studios to be more efficient and introduce new video and audio services on its
Web site.
OverDrive allows the MLB to automate production, making it more efficient to manage and create content for the 30 major league baseball teams on MLB.com. The integration with the Synergy family of switchers also offers MLB an upgrade path to HD.
The interfaces--including audio mixers, video servers and robotic cameras--are connected through Synergy, enabling an integrated production system. The Synergy production switcher always has direct control over these devices, allowing for manual control even during semi or fully automated productions.
"MLB Advanced Media is an excellent example of an organization using technology to their advantage to create superior content," said Jeff Moore, Ross Video's vice president marketing and sales. "MLB will be well equipped for their current and future production needs."
