Middle Atlantic Announces New UPS
Middle Atlantic Products is now supplying a new uninterruptible power system for broadcast applications. The system is available in 15 and 20 amp configurations and features Middle Atlantic's Energy Saver Circuitry that can reduce power consumption by as much as 75 percent when compared to traditional UPS technology.
The device is UL-listed and has a 4 ms transfer time to prevent equipment lockup and system disruptions. Eight AC surge-protected outlets are provided by the UPS, with four of them designated for critical loads. In case of an extended power outage, the unit can drop power to the non-critical loads to preserve battery life and integrity of operations.
The UPS is supplied with power management software that provides status notification and automatic system shutdown if necessary. Middle Atlantic also offers an expansion battery pack option for the system
