Media General Taps Grass Valley for Digital Gear
Media General is standardizing nine stations with Grass Valley digital news production (DNP) equipment to streamline its news production through a mostly tapeless and shared digital environment.

The deal includes multiple Grass Valley NewsEdit NLE systems, NewsBrowse Web-based browser/editor, M-Series intelligent video digital recorders (iVDRs), IngestStation ingest management system, NewsQ Pro integrated server playout control, Profile XP media platform servers and network attached storage (NAS) systems.

Also, the DNP gear will improve Media General's handling of digital news content, satellite feeds, graphics and promo material, according to Grass Valley.
