MultiDyne Video and Fiber Optic Systems has announced the appointment of industry veteran Bob McAlpine to the role of vice president of global sales and business development.

McAlpine will be responsible for the continued promotion and development of markets for MultiDyne products and applications worldwide.

McAlpine joins MultiDyne after 23 years as senior vice president of sales and marketing for PESA Switching Systems, and most recently as vice president of sales and marketing communications for QuStream Corp.

"Bob's extensive experience in managing growth in multiple video markets, his knowledge of industry applications, and established relationships within the industry will be invaluable to our organization as we continue to expand our operations worldwide," said Jim Jachetta, MultiDyne senior vice president of sales and marketing.

Prior to joining QuStream and PESA, McAlpine also held senior management and sales positions at 3M Corp., and as operations manager of the Metropolitan Transmission Center in New York City. McAlpine holds a BSEE from Polytechnic University of New York.
