LightViper Captures NCAA Men's College World Series
ESPN TV deployed audio fiber supplier FiberPlex’s LightViper audio transport system on June 26 for its live broadcast of the last televised game of the NCAA Men’s College World Series in Omaha, Neb. CP Communications Inc., an Elmsford, N.Y.-based production communications equipment and services rental firm deployed the plug-and-play system.

“The system was set up next to the audio sub-mix in the announce booth,” said Kurt Heitmann, CP Communication’s vice president of marketing. “All the announcer’s mics as well as the effects mic sub-mixer outputs were run through the LightViper system. We also used the system for all the ‘courtesy feeds’ and the on-air program returns to the announce booth.”
