LARCAN, Sumavision Partner in Cost-Effective DTV Solution
LARCAN and Sumavision Technologies have announced [PDF] a partnership to provide a complete MPEG encoding package with integrated multiplexer which, as part of LARCAN's Octane Series, makes it easy for low power TV broadcasters to begin DTV broadcasting and to transmit multiple programs with PSIP generation.

"Our partnership with Sumavision to offer Octane Series give broadcasters multi-channel MPEG technology within the complete system solutions of LARCAN Plus," said Scott Barella, LARCAN's vice president of Business Development and Technology. "Our new Octane encoder-multiplexer, alongside our new Pulse exciter and proven MXi Series of transmitters, delivers the most comprehensive and cost effective solution on the market."
