Joost Adds Turner Nets
Joost, the P2P Internet TV service unveiled in January, said it has secured a distribution deal with Turner Broadcasting System. The deal allows Joost to post episodes of fare such as "Aqua Teen Hunger Force" and "Robot Chicken" from the Adult Swim block on Cartoon Network; "Anderson Cooper 360," "Larry King Live" and the RSS ticker feed from CNN; plus fare from the regional Turner South net.

Joost also has secured content from Sony Pictures Television in the form of "Charlie's Angels," "Spiderman," "Starsky & Hutch" and "SWAT." Sports Illustrated will make video shorts of its swimsuit photo shoots available, and the National Hockey League is contributing full game replays and highlights. Toymaker Hasbro is ponying up exclusive channels based on its freakazoid Transformer toys, and über soldier G.I. Joe.

Joost has about 75 channels in addition to the Turner, et al lineup. The offering includes traditional cable nets, and channels based on TV series and personalities: Comedy Central, Fight Network, "Lassie," MTV, "Ren and Stimpy," The Diddy Channel and Braindead, to name a few.
