The IEEE’s Symposium on Broadband Multimedia Systems and Broadcasting opens May 13 in Bilbao, Spain and will concentrate on mobile and portable multimedia systems-related technology and issues.

The three-day event will be held at Bilbao’s Euskalduna conference center and is targeted at content originators and distributors, technology developers, wireless service providers and entities involved in developing consumer platforms.

Presentations are scheduled in the areas of multimedia systems and services, transmission and networking, multimedia processing, multimedia quality/performance evaluation and multimedia devices.
