IEEE BTS Group Issues Call for Papers
The IEEE’s Broadcast Technology Society (BTS) has issued its call for papers for presentation at the annual fall symposium.
The BTS is seeking relevant papers from researchers, service providers, technology developers, and suppliers of equipment systems and consumer devices. Potential subject areas might include technical matters associated with the end of analog television broadcasting, repurposing of analog television transmitters, digital television and radio systems, wireless broadband networks, and propagation and reception of broadcast signals.
This year’s broadcast symposium is scheduled for Oct. 14-16 in Alexandria, Va.
Abstracts for potential papers need to be received by the BTS by May 15 and should be between 500 and 1,000 words in length. They are to be sent via e-mail to
bts@ieee.org.
The BTS is also seeking proposals for half-day tutorial sessions based on the topics listed above, and is also issuing a call for panels dealing with issues associated with broadcasting technology, applications, along with business and policy-related matters within the industry.
