IEEE Broadcast Technology Society Calls for Papers
The
IEEE Broadcast Technology Society has issued a call for papers to be presented at its 56th Annual IEEE Broadcast Symposium being held Sept. 27-29 in Washington, D.C. The abstracts are due by June 7.
Guy Bouchard of the Canadian Broadcasting Corp. will chair the event being held at the Hotel Washington. IEEE is accepting 500-word abstracts via e-mail, but requests that submitters include the corresponding author's full name and contact information, as well as indicate in the subject line it is a 2006 symposium abstract. The address is: bts@ieee.org.
Potential topic areas for papers include digital radio and television systems: terrestrial, cable, satellite, Internet, wireless; streaming, IPTV, VoIP, VoD, Mobile TV, wireless multimedia; transmission, propagation, reception, re-distribution of broadcast signals, including AM, FM, and TV transmitter and antenna systems; test and measurement; and cable and satellite technologies.
