Home HD Radios Seen at Indianapolis Consumer Electronics Show
Attendees of consumer electronics show CEDIA Expo 2005 in Indianapolis can see and hear HD Radios for the home at the ADA, Boston Acoustics, Rotel and Yamaha booths.
“Following a successful introduction in the mobile audio market, we are now seeing the first HD Radio receivers for the home begin to reach consumers,” stated Ibiquity Digital President/CEO Robert Struble.
Fourteen stations in the Indianapolis market are airing both an analog and digital signal, including Clear Channel’s WFBQ(FM), which is also multicasting. Other on-air Indianapolis stations include: Susquehanna Radio Corporation’s WFMS(FM), WISG(FM) and WJJK(FM); Metropolitan Indianapolis Public Broadcasting’s WFYI(FM); Emmis’ WIBC(AM) and WNOU(FM); University of Indianapolis’ WICR(FM); Clear Channel’s WNDE(AM) and WRZX(FM); ABC Radio’s WRDZ(FM); Entercom’s WTPI(FM) and WZPL(FM) and Radio One’s WYJZ(FM).
