HD Adventure Film to Tour United States this Fall
Warren Miller Entertainment has been producing and distributing a different adventure film each year for more than half a century. This year, for the first time, its latest motion picture is produced in HD. "Higher Ground" will tour the United States from October-December and will be screened more than 400 times in approximately 180 cities.

"Using high definition technology allows us to bring viewers right into the heart of the mountains, and that's what our movies are all about," Max Bervy of Warren Miller Entertainment said in a statement. "Our goal is to bring skiing and snowboarding to life for adventure junkies, and HD helps us achieve that better then ever. The true cinematic widescreen format will make the audience feel like they're in the mountains" with the athletes.

Company founder (and self-described "original ski bum") Warren Miller began the movie tradition by traveling the country showing movies via his own projection system and personally attending each show. This fall, Warren Miller athletes plan to travel with the HD film from city to city with a HD projection system. "Higher Ground" will travel to more than 180 U.S. cities starting in October, including New York, Los Angeles, Chicago and Seattle. Other cities and locations (and technical details of the HD production) have not yet been released.
