Gas Station TV Releases February Metric

OAK PARK, MICH.: Gas Station TV is one year into its Nielsen metrics, which look primarily at ad recall. GSTV said that for February, Nielsen found more than 80 percent of respondents recalled advertising on the network. One participating advertiser had a 77 percent recall rate, and 93 percent said “they felt the same or better about the advertiser,” GSTV said.

GSTV affixed 20-inch LG hi-def LCD screens to the top of gas pumps in 2006 and secured a captive audience of people topping off. Programming includes CBS, ESPN and AccuWeather, asset managed by a Scala InfoChannel system back at headquarters in Oak Park. GSTV was distributed by about 1,000 gas stations at the end of last year and targeted another 100 by the close of 1Q09. -- Deborah D. McAdams
