FOR-A To Show 8,000 fps Camera at NAB
FOR-A Corp. will exhibit its VFC-1000 variable frame-rate camera at NAB 2003. The camera, an upgraded version of the VFC-300, lets users analyze sports motion and other applications using a laptop computer.

The camera captures images between 50 and 8,000 frames per second, according to the company. Its dimensions are 75 x 75 x 176mm and it weighs 1 kg. Features include up to 1/100,000 second electrical shutter, recording function by dividing the internal memory, camera control and picture transfer via LAN and synchronized function for multiple camera use. A receiver is contained in the camera head. The VFC-1000 comes in black and white or color models and outputs composite signal, S-Video and Ethernet.
