FCC Releases Revised Coordinates for FCC Monitoring Sites
Broadcasters filing for new or modified facilities in the vicinity of an FCC monitoring station have to show signals levels will not exceed a certain amount at the station. The FCC has updated Section 0.121(b) of the FCC rules to add the FCC's new Kenai, Alaska monitoring facility to the list of protected field installations. The complete list is available in the FCC Order. Note that the coordinates use the NAD83 Datum, not the NAD27 datum used for broadcast station coordinates.
