FCC Backs Earlier $10,000 Pirate Fine
The FCC affirmed a penalty of $10,000 against Jean Harold Marius of Randolph, Mass., for operating a station without a license. In its decision the agency stated Marius was operating an illegal station on 89.3 MHz. Marius did not respond to a November 2005 fine, so the commission has now issued a Forfeiture Order and expects payment within 30 days.
