Evertz to Introduce Fiber Transmitter Products
Evertz will introduce the 2408LT fiber optic transmitter for RF signals in the extended satellite L-Band frequency range.

The standalone 2408LT can be mounted on or near the satellite dish antenna structure. A weatherproof option adds IP65 dust and water protection, allowing outdoor mounting without a secondary enclosure. An RF monitor output provides a means for obtaining peak satellite signal strength or additional signal distribution. Gain may be adjusted manually or managed automatically via AGC.

With Evertz SmartMON technology, incoming RF signal strength, LNB current and other data are relayed over the fiber output for monitoring through SNMP/VistaLINK (requiring a SmartMON-capable companion fiber receiver). The 2408LT also provides a DC pass-through mode for LNB power, including 13VDC and 22kHz modes for LNB control.

Evertz also will introduce the 7707VT-8-OC48 and 7707VR-8-OC48 Optical SONET/SDH platform. The fiber transmitter and receiver transports SD-SDI, DVB-ASI and SDTi video signals over OC-48/STM-16 data rates (2.488 Gbps), interfacing directly to SONET/SDH infrastructure. These cards have a built in variable Ethernet transceiver with 10/100/1000 Base-T port. These single cards combine up to eight asynchronous SD-SDI, DVB-ASI and/or SDTi signals using Time Domain Multiplex (TDM) technology.

Evertz will be at stand 8.141.
