DVC Digitalvideo Computing GmbH, a European digital video supplier based in Herrsching, Germany, has signed a reseller agreement with Telairity to market Telairity's HD/SD real-time advanced H.264/AVC video compression (MPEG-4) encoding platforms.

The Telairity-DVC venture was designed to broaden DVC's range of product offerings, while allowing Telairity's encoder technology to be made more widely available to European broadcast, cable, DBS and IPTV customers, according to DVC.

Santa Clara, Calif.-based Telairity said its H.264 encoding platforms can help deliver low-latency, high-quality video at bit rates of 1.5-3 Mbps for SD, and 6 -12 Mbps for HD video.
