Euphonix Takes DAW Control On Tour
Los Angeles is the first stop on the USA Break Free Tour featuring the Euphonix 5-MC Integrated DAW controller.

Euphonix launched the USA Break Free Tour to help operators break free from what the company describes as the "constraints of closed architecture systems." The one-month tour is designed to demonstrate the advantages of an open architecture control technology for digital audio workstations (DAW) and video applications.

The Euphonix demo vehicle is outfitted with a 32-fader system 5-MC controlling the Steinberg Nuendo 3.1 with a EuCon protocol driver and TC PowerCore plug-ins running on a dual AMD Opteron processor PC.

The tour--which kicks off July 11--will also include the Euphonix-Hitachi data systems audio facility network server solution, which will be used as a central storage facility on the truck for all audio and video demo content. The integrated audio/video server system was designed by Hitachi Data Systems partner San Solutions to improve and enhance workflow throughout the facility.
