Doug Bevington Joins NPR Distribution
Doug Bevington tells Radio World Online he has joined the NPR Distribution Division in Washington as senior satellite facilities engineer. He'll handle major projects including helping with the ContentDepot rollout and satellite earth station work.
He answers to Distribution Division Deputy Director for Engineering Dick Kohles.
Bevington worked for eight years for Pacific Research & Engineering in Carlsbad, Calif., and later with Harris in Mason, Ohio, after Harris acquired PR&E. He was manager of product/technical services for consoles and studio products.
He also has worked for Cue Nationwide Paging, Monitor Radio, WJHU(FM) at Johns Hopkins University and WBFO(FM) at the State University of New York at Buffalo.
