Dish Dishes Cinemax HD
EchoStar Communications said its Dish Network DBS service has added Cinemax HD to its hi-def lineup, as it competes with fellow DBS firm DirecTV (as well as cable) to ramp up as much HD content and venues as possible in the next year.

Dish said the addition of the Cinemax venue grows its total national HD lineup to 32 channels and is part of its overall plan to feed 98 percent of its annual primetime programming schedule in HD. Subscribers to Cinemax HD this summer will be offered these HD titles, among others: "X-Men: The Last Stand," "Superman Returns," "Lady in the Water," "Miami Vice" and "The Departed."

Cinemax HD is Dish channel 9458 and is available to subs that sign up for the DishHD program package. Cinemax HD will simulcast programming from the primary (SD) Cinemax channel.
