Digital Transaction Group Acquires Odetics Broadcast
Digital Transaction Group has completed the acquisition of certain assets of the former Odetics Broadcast operation, including its AIRO Automation System. It will continue providing sales and support for AIRO.

The founders of Digital Transaction Group include the development team responsible for the creation and ongoing support of AIRO-a software system designed to manage video content and the on-air programming schedules for television operations by integrating the control of broadcast video devices with software automation.

J. Merritt Belisle, head of The Black Creek Group in Austin, TX, and new CEO for Digital Transaction Group, led the effort to purchase AIRO. "I was impressed with the team and their commitment to a quality product. This is a highly skilled and seasoned team, ready to hit the ground running," said Belisle. The new company has taken over the Austin, TX, facility, including offices, a software development lab, and AIRO customer service and support. Specific terms of the sale were not disclosed.
