10 Companies Submit Mobile TV System Proposals To The ATSC
Last week, LG Electronics and Harris submitted the MPH mobile TV system for the ATSC standard. This week, nine more companies joined submitted proposals of their own. The ATSC requested proposals on May 21st.
The ATSC announced last Friday that Coding Technologies, Coherent Logix, DTS, Mobile DTV Alliance, Micronas Semiconductor, Nokia, Samsung Electronics and Rohde & Schwarz, Thomson, and QUALCOMM have submitted proposals.
Samsung and Rohde & Schwarz demonstrated the A-VSB system earlier this year at NAB2007.
Detailed descriptions for all submitted proposals are due July 6th.
