CEA Notes Increased Digital Demand
As the analog-to-digital conversion continues across the board, so does the interest in digital products. According to the Consumer Electronics Association, manufacturer-to-dealer sales of DVD players and camcorders increased by 15% and 6% respectively during May.

"Digital video recorders, digital camcorders, DVD players and DTV continue to amaze consumers and are driving interest and sales in the video category," stated Gary Shapiro, president and CEO of CEA. "This interest and the resulting sales will only continue to grow as more and more Americans come in contact with digital entertainment."
