CBS Radio, Live Nation to Increase Event Partnership
Concert promoter Live Nation and CBS Radio are teaming up to produce radio-sponsored events.

The companies say they’ve signed a multi-year agreement that also calls for them to develop new live concerts and “experiential” events across multiple stations and markets.

Live Nation owns, operates or manages some 110 music venues; it expects the CBS Radio deal to draw some 260,000 fans to its concerts annually. It calls itself the largest producer of live concerts in the world, producing 16,000 concerts a year for 1,500 artists in 57 countries. CBS Radio operates 137 stations, mostly in large markets.

CBS Radio and Live Nation have worked together before; they say the new deal strengthens that relationship. Details were not disclosed.
