Call Her Dr. Donna

By our count she has four degrees now.<br /><br /><br /><br />Her doctorate topic: the history of broadcasting, how early radio (1920–1935) was perceived and how it changed American life.<br /><br /><br /><br />Halper is a Boston-based historian and radio consultant who has written several books including the recent “Boston Radio 1920–2010.”<br /><br /><br /><br />She already holds three degrees from Northeastern University. She is assistant professor of communication at Lesley University in Cambridge, Mass., and also worked on the air for many years; she’s credited with helping discover the rock band Rush.<br /><br /><br /><br />
