Burst Nails Master Control Contract for WTVX
Denver systems integrator Burst scored a contract to design and built a master control system for WTVX in West Palm Beach, Fla. The system will also control the off-air signals of local sister Class A stations, WTCN and WWHB. All three stations are among the seven being acquired from CBS Corp. by Four Points Media Group, the TV station division of Cerberus Capital, pending FCC approval.
According to Burst, WTVX’s master control is currently located at WFOR in Miami. The station’s aim is to have its own master control in West Palm Beach. The project is targeted for completion by next January.
WTVX’s end goal is to have its own master control.
The project will commence this fall with completion scheduled at the end of January 2008.
