Burlington, Mass-based Broadcast Pix has added new features to its studio control system, which was launched at NAB2003.

New standard features to the Broadcast Pix Studio system -- touted as a "complete live television control room" -- include new frame synchronization that now enables asynchronous sources to be added, such as mini-cams and DVD players; balanced stereo audio (SMPTE 272M) for the DDR embedded in the SDI stream and optional conversion to and from analog audio; a faster 64-bit bus to connect the DDR to the workstation and the ability to create three DVE box overlays. In addition, new options include analog video and audio I/O converters and six additional channels of CG, stills, logos, slides, etc.

In addition to control software, the system includes a workstation with a multi-stream Pinnacle Targa board, a Leitch router, Inscriber character generator, DDR with audio, and multiple channels of stores for stills, graphics, logos and PowerPoint slides.
