Broadcast Australia has increased its content-delivery capability with its acquisition of online media and entertainment managed services company Hostworks Group Ltd.

Hostworks manages the availability, performance and running costs of the online presence of Australian national broadcasters Australian Broadcasting Corp. (ABC) and Special Broadcasting Service (SBS), among other clients.

"We are pleased to have entered into an agreement to acquire Hostworks, which enhances Broadcast Australia's core business of being a trusted provider, connecting content owners to customers across multiple platforms," said Graeme Barclay, managing director of Broadcast Australia.
