The Weather Channel has purchased Harris' Invenio asset management system.

Invenio will be integrated with the Harris ADC automation system to streamline the flow of media among proprietary systems, enabling The Weather Channel to manage the data flow from IntelliStar, the company's new technology that localizes weather information.

"The integrated Invenio/ADC system will eliminate time-consuming activities that organizations were once forced to handle manually, thus reducing operating costs and streamlining operations," said Jim Woods, vice president and general manager of automation and digital asset management solutions, Harris Broadcast Communications Division.
