Beasley Adds Two More Formats to HD2 Stable
Beasley Broadcast will begin airing new, unique programming at “96.1 K-Rock WRXK(FM)” sister rock music station K-Rock Legends 96.1 HD2, and reggae hits at “Southwest Florida’s B103.9 WXKB(FM)” sister station Beach 103.9 HD2 in the fall.
The formats are “endorsed” by the HD Digital Radio Alliance, the broadcaster said. Beasley is a member of the alliance, formed last December to promote HD Radio to consumers, CE retailers and automakers.
President/COO Bruce Beasley said listeners are responding well to the five Beasley stations that are already multicasting in the company’s Philadelphia, Miami and Las Vegas markets.
Other Beasley Southwest Florida stations — 106.3 Southwest Florida's GREAT Music Station WJPT(FM) and New Rock 99X WJBX(FM) — will program HD2 channels as well.
In Southwest Florida, consumers can find HD Radios at Cartunes and House of High Fidelity.
