Axon Showcases Additions to Synapse Modules, Routers
Axon’s demonstrations at the NAB Show will feature its range of Synapse modules, 3 Gbps-enabled audio/video routers as well as modular products, router control and master
control.
The modular infrastructure and communications system Synapse now includes another eight 3 Gbps-capable modules: four upconverters, two downconverters and two up/down/cross-converters. These modules are also available in an HD/SD-version which can be upgraded to handle 3 Gbps.
The company is also introducing other Synapse modules: an HD/SD Text inserter (HTI10); an SD-SDI IP data bridge (INS30); an HD-SDI voice-over card with controlled transitions (HVO10); and a nine-output bi- and tri-level distribution amplifier with Synapse ref inputs
Axon will also display a modular multiviewer for up to 72 channels in 4 RU, its modular logo inserter, its up/down/cross-standards converter and its new Synapse monitoring and setup software Cortex.
Also new is the NV5100MC multichannel master control switching system. The modular system includes increased audio and video processing capability; a field programmable processor for either SD or HD; a choice of four easy-to-use control surfaces; and full-video preview including effects.
Finally, Axon will introduce a new generation of large-matrix multiformat routers with increased system features and twice the density. The NV9000 router system controller controls up to 250 routers, 400 control panels, and up to 250 physical and 512 virtual levels.
