Australian Radio Gets More Promos from Play MPE
EMI Music and the Shock Entertainment Group have chosen Destiny Media's Play MPE system for distribution of promotional music to radio and other media in Australia.

D-Star, the digital media delivery division of Shooting Star, handles the distribution of music to stations and reviewers. Universal Music Australia and Warner Music Australia already work with D-Star and Play MPE for promotional distribution.

The agreement gives media a single destination for most of their promotional music needs, allowing record companies to safely send singles, albums and other promotional assets digitally in CD quality to about 1,000 registered Australian media users.

"We are excited to be expanding our relationship with the team at D-Star. D-Star digital has been an integral part of our promotional campaigns for video for many years and now with Play MPE for audio delivery, we have a suite of services that will continue to improve our services to media," said Darryl Bailey, director of promotions for EMI Music Australia.
