Apple Launches Final Cut Express HD
Apple announced its latest move toward desk-top post production, with the launch of its Final Cut Express HD. We wonder if those Video Toaster guys knew what they were really starting, back in the 1980s. Here is an HDV editing software that, for a few hundred dollars, permits users to do HD effects, filters, and transitions and to preview them quickly without rendering. It also has sophisticated, animated text and motion graphics capabilities. If that is not enough, it has powerful sound editing tools, including the capability to deal with 99 audio tracks.
