Acrodyne Builds New Educational TV Transmission Facility
Acrodyne Industries (Ai) recently completed construction of a $4 million turnkey transmission project for the educational TV station (BECON) for the School Board of Broward County, Fla.
The new facility includes two Ai Quantum IOT Depressed Collector transmitters, as well as the antenna and the electoral switchgear system, including studio processing equipment, according to Andy Furlong, engineering manager for BECON.
"Both two-tube Quantum Depressed Collector systems, QDCN2 and QDC2, were installed on schedule and run flawlessly," Furlong said. "Ai was the project management lead on the entire project. I am very pleased with the result Ai has achieved with both the overall project management and Quantum Depressed Collector Transmitter systems."
Ai has also expanded its services to include site development and commissioning projects for the telecommunications industry.
