ABC News Radio Firms Up 9/11 Coverage
Sept. 5 marks the start of special programming from ABC News Radio to commemorate the anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on America. The network has a full-service broadcast facility lined up in a secured space at ground zero. Special programming will include "America's Story" - a look at how communities across America reacted and coped with the tragedy and "America Remembers: A National Town Hall Meeting," hosted by Sam Donaldson, a two hour radio broadcast featuring guests, a live studio audience and listener feedback. Correspondents will be stationed live at ground zero, the Pentagon, the White House, Shanksville, Pa., and other locations. ABC talk show hosts Tom Joyner, Doug Banks, Sean Hannity and Larry Elder will broadcast their shows live from the ground zero facility on Sept. 11.
